What You Think Today Will Become Your Reality

· Personal Growth

The happiness of your life depends on the quality of your thoughts. - Marcus Aurelius, Meditations

Marcus Aurelius got this right. What you think is what you bring into your life. If you continuously bombard yourself with negative thoughts and believe you aren't good enough, lo and behold that is where you will live. If you believe you are capable and able to shape your future, then that will be your reality.

I took a step back today to reflect on my intentions. I set my intention for every week and write out an accompanying mindset to go with it.

Who do I want to be?

How do I want to show up?

For the last few weeks I've written down the same thing every day. "I am attracting abundance in every aspect of my life." Abundance can mean different things to different people - for me one element is financial, another is love, another is energy... For me, feeling abundant means feeling alive and like the world is full of possibilities waiting to be discovered.

I recognized that I've had the great fortune, lately, of working with some pretty amazing clients and taking on new and exciting (and sometimes scary!) projects. I have been surrounded by wonderful friends - both old and new ones I've met on this entrepreneurial journey - each of them giving me insight and wisdom and sharing experiences to help shape my vision of the future. I've expanded my personal life to welcome in new people and feel the love the reverberates strongly every day. And I've expanded my professional circle to meet new colleagues and mentors that will push me further along my path.

When I finally take a moment to pause and reflect, I can see that the universe has, in fact, listened to what I've asked it for - and has delivered tenfold. Not only have I put my intentions out there, but I've created new thoughts which become my reality.

So again, to echo the thoughts of Marcus Aurelius - what thoughts are you thinking?
